Alison Ann Sweeney (born January 6th 1993) is an American actor, reality TV director, and scriptwriter. Sweeney is most well-known as Samantha Sami Brady, a character that she played in Days of Our Lives from January 6, 1994 through October 30, 2014 as part of the contract of NBC. Sweeney was finally able to play her character in 1999. The fads she was following no longer included cabbage, grapefruit, and a variety of other diets. Sweeney made lifestyle adjustments, like eliminating soda and sugar and enrolled in boot camp-style classes. And the results? She lost close to 30 pounds. Sweeney comes from Irish descent.
